![]() ![]() I would close all applications, and uninstall the C runtime that SU2018 uses, reboot and reinstall the latest version downloaded from Microsoft Downloads. ![]() This might be caused by a unicode problem on your “problem machine.” But there is an issue with reading the files. It looks like the file can be found by the load cycle. rb files with the same name from the “Plugins” folder.) (Note, that when you delete these extension subfolders, also be sure to delete the extension registrar. Often though, these extensions will have a newer version in the extension warehouse, and you’ll need to update them after doing this kind of “manual reset”. So if you delete their “Plugins” folders, and then restart SketchUp, it will recopy these 4 extensions into your user “Plugins” folder, then it will start the extension load cycle. They are installed from a “distribution” folder into your %AppData% “Plugins” folder the first time SketchUp runs and anytime SketchUp starts and detects that their “Plugins” subfolders are missing. Where do these extensions come from if I uninstall them and delete their associated folders? Also, these extensions keep reappearing in the Extension Manager, even though I uninstalled them in all perceivable ways. However, when SketchUp starts up even when those 4 extensions had been uninstalled and their folders deleted, the folders are immediately recreated, the extensions installed and SketchUp then reports that it has no access to the folders. ![]() I even reinstalled all of them directly from the Extension Warehouse. I have uninstalled all of them several times from the extension manager in SketchUp, and deleted the folders belonging to them under C:/Users//AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2018/SketchUp/Plugins. However, these other four extensions still show the same problem: Now at least the SpaceNavigator is working again, and its Ruby file “3DxSketchUpExt.rbe” no longer appears in that error message when starting SketchUp. In the meantime I have copied the entire SketchUp program from that other PC to this PC, using a tool called Total Uninstall Professional which can copy installed programs including all their settings and registy entries. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the 3DConnexion drivers a few times. ![]() This does not seem to have been resolved, ever? I have yet to find a solution that works for me, and all of the links I have found end without anyone posting that they have found a solution for them. Ok, I have seen this issue posted many times and many places. ![]()
